With a thatched roof, vaulted ceilings throughout the interior and wooden decking surrounding the villa, you cannot beat it in terms of architecture.
Comporta itself is a village on Portugal’s west coast, just 1 hour from Lisbon. Comprised of rice paddies, pine forests and rolling sandy dunes, the scenery here is unusual and enticing. Known by some as a secret paradise, with fishing huts on stilts juxtaposed next to modern cafes and beach bars, Comporta has a lot to offer and is relatively undiscovered, with its charm still intact. The Wooden Villa is just a 10-minute walk to Pego beach and 15 to Carvahal beach.
The villa is done up in whites and beiges, with detailed lighting work throughout to create a fresh, heaven-like feel.
The main living area inside the Wooden Villa has a beautiful open style kitchen that is equipped with everything you may need. The dining table seats 12 people, and there is also a fireplace for nights when there is a slight chill in the air. The villa can sleep 13 people, and each of the 5 bedroom suites has its own en suite bathroom. There is also a bunk room with 5 beds in that is perfect for children.
Outside, the sand garden hosts olive, lemon and pomegranate trees, making you feel as though you are truly in paradise.
The garden also features many local flowers, surrounding the multitude of outdoor chill areas and the gorgeous swimming pool with their sweet scent. There is an outdoor dining area with seating enough for 14 people.

At the entrance of the house, a floor to ceiling iron-panelled fireplace connects the bedroom and living spaces. Glass walls are used inside to create instantaneous feelings of space and togetherness. There are separate TV and living rooms, and a modern kitchen leading onto a dining area that features a round table, meaning there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out.
The artwork on the walls is colourful and bold without being overwhelming, and this juxtaposes nicely with the pale wooden flooring.
